Drifting Into the Unknown — Album
Drifting Into the Unknown is the first full-length album released under The ColourMind project by Joshua M. Alexander.
The album brings together songs written across many years, some dating back decades, now reimagined and produced using modern music technology.
Many of these songs began as simple guitar or piano ideas long before today’s digital tools existed. With the emergence of advanced production tools and AI-assisted composition, Joshua has been able to revisit these early concepts and finally bring them to life in a way that was not previously possible.
The result is a 48-minute album that blends classic songwriting with modern sound design. Drawing inspiration from artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, The Rolling Stones, and The Who, the music explores a wide range of styles including progressive rock, classic rock, alternative, and experimental elements.
Drifting Into the Unknown is designed as a continuous listening experience. Each track connects emotionally and atmospherically, guiding the listener through themes of reflection, identity, love, struggle, and transformation.
The purpose of The ColourMind project is not to stay confined to a single genre, but to explore sound, emotion, and storytelling without limitation.
New music will continue to be released regularly as the catalogue expands and additional albums are completed under The ColourMind project.
