Joshua M. Alexander has been writing and creating music since 1992, developing a lifelong passion for songwriting and sound. Over the years he has written well over 200 original songs, many of which were created long before modern recording tools were easily accessible. A multi-instrumentalist, Joshua plays guitar, piano, and drums, often blending these elements to build layered and expressive compositions. His music spans a wide range of genres including progressive rock, classic rock, country, hip-hop, and experimental soundscapes. The project is not limited to one style, but instead reflects decades of musical ideas and influences coming together in new ways.
Joshua’s musical inspirations include legendary artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, and many other groundbreaking musicians who shaped modern music.
Through The Colour Mind, Joshua is bringing years of unreleased material to life, combining classic songwriting with modern technology to produce songs that might have otherwise remained unfinished ideas.
New music will be released frequently, with songs being uploaded weekly and sometimes even daily as the catalogue continues to grow.
Joshua is currently working toward completing his first album under this project, a self-titled release called ColourMind, expected to be finished in the coming weeks.
