Joshua M. Alexander is a lifelong musician, technologist, and creative thinker whose work sits at the intersection of human expression and modern technology.
Joshua began writing music in 1992, developing songs on guitar and piano that blended storytelling, melody, and emotion. Over the decades he accumulated a large catalog of ideas, recordings, and unfinished compositions. Many of these early works were written long before the powerful digital production tools available today.
With the emergence of modern music technology and AI-assisted production tools, Joshua began revisiting these earlier compositions and bringing them to life in ways that were not previously possible. This process ultimately led to the creation of The ColourMind, a music project dedicated to exploring the relationship between traditional songwriting and modern digital sound design.
Joshua’s music draws influence from classic artists such as The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, The Rolling Stones, and The Who, while also embracing elements of progressive rock, alternative music, and experimental soundscapes. Rather than staying confined to a single genre, The ColourMind project focuses on storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional exploration across different musical styles.
Outside of music, Joshua has built a career in technology and innovation. He currently serves as the Solutions Director at Retell AI, a leading Voice AI platform focused on advanced conversational voice agents and AI-powered communication systems. He is also the CEO and Founder of Action2Call®, a company focused on AI-powered voice automation and business communication technology.
Joshua’s passion has always been the same across both worlds: merging creativity with technology. Whether building advanced AI systems or producing music, he enjoys exploring how modern tools can expand what individuals are capable of creating.
Through The ColourMind, Joshua continues to release music that bridges decades of songwriting with the possibilities of modern digital production.
New music and projects will continue to be released as the catalogue grows.
